Calorie Based Diet Plans Work Wonders

Do You Have A Calories Based Diet Plan?

If your not already aware there is a problem "silent disease" this is also referred to as obesity. This is why calorie based diet plans are beneficial to lose weight the healthy way. The 1,200 calories based diet plan have been proved to be one of the most successful calorie based diet plans on the market today.

It is very important that this 1,200 calories diet plan is only used for a short period of time. These calorie based diet plans seems to lose their effectiveness if targeted for a long period of time. Your body adapts to the change in food intake and the amount of calories it receives daily. A calorie based diet plans are what you need to lose weight. I have found that this 1,200 calorie diet is better used to jump start your metabolism and helps you start lose a couple extra pound from the start. It is very important that you adapt one of these calorie based diet plans when starting your diet.

It is important to understand the importance of a restrictive diet to lose the weight fast. The most essential benefits are gained in the initial phase of the drastic calorie reduction. Your body will begin to use the excess fat that is stored by your body and burn it.

These calorie based diet plans slows down your metabolism, so it is important to add a couple extra calories a week and than work on burning them off to make up for the shift in metabolism. This is a natural body mechanism because it thinks that it's helping you to survive everyday.

Please remember that calorie based diet plans are a highly effective way to lose extra pounds of fat. If you use these dieting plans correctly you will have solid foundation to a weight loss plan.

Calorie Based Diet Plans Are Very Beneficial And Learn to Count Calories

Negative Calorie Foods - Aiding Weight Loss and Increasing Metabolism

While all foods contain at least some calories, there are some that are classified as negative calorie foods due to their overall affect on the body. This simply means that these particular foods use more caloric energy to eat and digest than they actually contain to begin with. The calories from these types of foods are more difficult to breakdown and process, making the body work harder to digest them, thus burning more than the foods original caloric content.

If we gain weight when we take in more calories than we expend, it only stands to reason that if we take in less calories than we burn, we will then lose weight. Roughly ten percent of our total daily caloric intake is actually used to process and digest the foods that weve eaten. If we decrease the calories we ingest, add more negative calorie foods to our diets while increasing our level of physical activity, the result is healthy weight loss and an elevated metabolism.

A perfect example is a piece of cake that contains roughly 400 calories, but that also uses up 150 of those calories to eat and digest it. This then leaves a net gain of 250 calories, which of course turn into fat. Now, if instead you decided to eat a salad that contained 250 calories, but uses 400 calories to completely digest, you will have actually burned 150 calories simply by eating the salad. If you ate a piece of fruit that contained 100 calories but used up 200 calories worth during the digestion process, you will have burned an extra 100 calories just by eating the fruit.

The more negative calories that you can incorporate into your diet while maintaining a regular exercise program, the more fat you will ultimately burn. Negative calorie foods should always be prepared fresh and naturally without any added ingredients such as butter or salt, which would only counteract the foods negative caloric affects. Negative calorie foods generally have a high fiber content, which is essential for dieters as it allows the body to feel fuller longer. Fiber also causes the body to work harder to process and breakdown the foods weve eaten.

Although water isnt considered a food, ice cubes can be used as a negative calorie source. Water contains no calories at all, but the body must put forth energy to consume the ice, and also to compensate for the decrease in body temperature. Many dieters use frozen sugar-free juice cubes as healthy treats that also require the expenditure of more calories than they actually contain.

When following a diet rich with negative calorie foods, its important to remember that these foods are comprised mostly of water and fiber, and while they are healthy, they also lack key nutrients, proteins, and certain vitamins and minerals that the body needs to thrive.

We as educated people need to start getting angry at all the junk aimed at us everyday. The average American sees thousands of ads each and every day for everything from diet pills to prescription drugs.

Most promise a quick cure for whatever ails us. The weight loss industry alone is estimated to be over $35 Billion dollars annually, so marketing and ads play a vital role in keeping us interested and buying.

Now we have come up with RLS, (restless leg syndrome). This will probably be a new "chronic condition" treated by an existing prescription drug, allowing it to continue generating profits longer

We need to start using our heads and understand what weight loss is and what it means. Losing weight alone is not the most important thing. We citizens of western countries are too fat. Losing fat and losing weight are two distinctly different things.

Also distinctly different is how we lose the weight / fat.

A pound of fat equals about 3500 calories. To burn 3500 calories you would need to reduce your daily caloric intake by 500 calories per day for one week, while remaining constant at your current activity level, or you could consume the same number of calories daily and exercise more to burn 500 calories per day. To burn 500 calories through exercise you would need to ride a stationary bike, as an example, for about 1 & hours per day at a rate of about 25 MPH average. Or you could do a combination of decreasing by 250 and burning 250.

The claims that you can "lose 30 pounds in 30 days" are weight not fat. To lose 30 pounds of fat in 30 days you would need to burn 105,000 calories in excess of what you eat, which I'm sure we all agree isn't likely.

Claims aimed at fast weight loss are telling you, you'll lose weight not fat. Fat is harmful to the body not weight per se.

Rapid weight loss through severely restricted caloric intake causes the body to react as if it were sick. It is conditioned to say "Oh Oh"; I'm in trouble I'd better conserve energy. I may not get more food for awhile.

Fat is stored energy. What the body then conserves is fat. It does exactly what you don't need or want it to do, it slows your metabolism, burns lean muscle mass for energy and conserves the fat.

The rapid weight loss that happens the first 30 days is water. Muscle contains about 3 times as much water as fat. So if you lose a pound of muscle you're losing 3 pounds of water with it.

That's why diets alone slow down, there's only so much water to get rid of.

You can't blame the ad agencies, or the diet program companies, people are being sold what they want to buy. They want a quick fix to a problem without sacrifice or change.

The truth is once you learn what the body needs and how it works there is no great need for sacrifice. You can eat nearly anything you want, just less of it, and exercise more.

We are just so conditioned to instant gratification, that we're always awaiting the next miracle drug to make us all look like Hollywood celebrities. The $35 billion is just giving us what we demand.

Obesity has grown by over 20% in the last decade, in spite of the fact we are spending $35 Billion a year on weight management products. Does that suggest to anyone maybe they aren't working?

High Protein Diets Can Make You Lose Weight

Because protein does not appear to be the sole type of food mankind is designed to consume, it is recommended that you talk to your physician before undertaking such a diet. Whatever opinions are expressed in this article, they are just opinions based on small observations that may only apply to individuals other than you. Consult your doctor about anything you read here before making any major changes in how you eat.

What we don't know is just how reliably weight loss with high protein diets can be predicted. We do know that some people have lost a lot of weight on high protein diets. We also know that a lot of people have not lost weight on high protein diets. Probably a greater majority just can't stand to eat nothing but protein for a prolonged period of time. The reason I mention that is that weight loss is generally recorded in the first month or two of high protein diets.

Another thing we know is that among those who have lost a lot of weight, there are also signs of dehydration or at least a lack of bloating. That may be why the weight loss ceases after a period of time. After all, you can only give up so much water.

The interesting thing here is that on standard diets, which consist of balanced diets, weight loss is much slower, but continues on as long as the person keeps the total calorie count down. Many do give up, however, because at times weight loss may be so slow as to be unnoticeable. However, those who stick with it a long time come to realize that the weight loss does continue even when it is unnoticeable.

Weight loss with high protein diets seems to have an opposite psychological effect. A bunch of weight is lost right away when beginning the high protein diets. The encouraged dieter is led to continue, but suddenly notices the weight loss has stopped. Tired of the limited diet plan, the discouraged dieter usually quits the high protein diet right away.

Unproven theories about how weight loss composition occurs may have been the most damaging part of the development of high protein diets. For example, one theory was that you would lose less muscle on a high protein diet because your body wouldn't need to break down as much protein from your body to burn as energy. But when someone tried to back that up with a study, the results showed the opposite. People who ate balanced diets while dieting had a slightly lower percentage of their weight loss occur as a result of muscle loss. The theory of weight loss by ketosis when eating only fats and proteins has also come from questionable amounts of evidence.

Mankind just isn't designed to exist on one type of nutrient. Our bodies are designed to use a wide variety of nutrients, and dysfunction well when missing any of them. So you should definitely consult at least your doctor, and probably a nutritionist as well, before you begin any extreme diets, such as high protein diets.
