3 Easy and Fast Ways to Lose Weight

There is not one person in this world that does not have any problems. Sure everyone has their own problems. For a lot of people there is a huge problem that could be very important to their health. Tons of people have the huge problem of being overweight. Everyone that has a weight problem would love to find some easy ways to help them lose it. There are three easy ways that I know of they are to drink water daily, make sure that you eat portions, and do physical activity everyday.

The first easy way that will help you with that terrible problem that you can't get off of your back is to drink water daily. This will help you keep your body cool. Also if you drink water every day you are going to be draining out fluids all day long and this will cleanse your body. While you are exercising you will be sweating bullets because of the extra water that you are going to be taking in but that is ok because the more that you sweat the more water weight you are going to be losing.

The next easy way to help you lose weight is to make sure that you eat portions this will help you shed even more of the weight. If you cut out a lot of the extra food that you didn't need to eat that day then you will see a lot of weight come off. I tend to eat three portion meals a day and I try to spread them out through the day. If you do not see the results that you like then try to cut your portions just a little bit more and then you will really see the results that you want.

The final easy way to help you lose the extra weight that you have all throughout your body is to do something physical daily because exercising is the key to losing weight. The more that you tend to exercise then the more weight that you are going to lose. Doing something physical can be as easy as taking the stairs instead of the elevator or you could go walking around a mall. Also you can go out and go roller-blading, bike riding, or you could jump rope.

These are the easy ways to that I know of which will be able to help you lose some weight.

How To Lose Weight After Christmas

Let's face it, people want to know how to lose weight after Christmas the easy way. Because with New Year's coming up and having stuffed yourself with all those holidays treats, the thought of starting a new diet is just too frustrating. But if your New Year's resolution is to lose weight weight quickly but at the same time naturally, then there is a way to do that.

There exists a special dieting technique that is more than likely going to help you lose weight after Christmas very quickly. What makes it unique is that this dieting technique is rather easy to accomplish and requires no exercise, no extreme dieting and deprivation. This technique is called calorie shifting with which you can lose up to 10 or more pounds in less than 2 weeks.

Calorie shifting has been around for awhile now but has been kept quiet due to it's unusual style of dieting. It is designed to naturally cause your fat burning system and metabolism to skyrocket and stay that way as long as you keep on continuing the technique. But is it done?

Now this may sound crazy but it works. Calorie shifting is done by eating 4 or more meals a day with every meal being in different calorie values and mixing up the order in which you eat them day after day. This style of eating has been proven to cause your body to raise it's metabolism and fat burning system in order to process this new eating method.

And because this happens, you can begin to experience weight loss very quickly, even during the first day. In addition calorie shifting is very flexible. You can continue eating most of your favorite foods and not deprive yourself like most other dieting methods would.

This is a perfect way to lose weight after Christmas and a great way to fullfill a New Year's resolution to lose weight fast. In addition calorie shifting can be accomplish by anyone. It doesn't matter how much you weight or if you have bad genes. Calorie shifting does not descriminate and naturally causes weight loss that very few diets can even come close to.

Exploring Weight Loss Center Options

Have you recently decided to try losing weight? If so you are not alone. In most communities, thousands of people are turning to weight loss centers for programs that will fit their budget.

If you are not interested in developing a program of exercise and nutrition on your own, or just don't have the time, a weight loss or fitness center might be your best option.

If you have never been a member of a weight loss center before, you may be wondering about what to expect. When joining a weight loss center, you will likely attend weekly, biweekly, or monthly meetings that range from a free, very loose social gathering, to an expensive, spa-like atmosphere.

Most centers require the payment of a monthly membership fee. Despite the possibility of a variance, these membership fees are almost always affordable.

The free meetings are often used to record your weight, as well as socialize and communicate with others who are looking to lose weight, just like you. You may be surprised just how many people wanting to lose weight are looking to compare notes.

On the other hand, there are weight loss centers that give you more membership benefits. These memberships may have nutritional cooking classes, instructional exercise classes, and a fully equipped fitness center for you to use.

Yes, the membership fees may be a little bit higher, but they are well worth it. The ones that give more personal instruction can put together a balanced plan for sensible weight loss.

Many people report better results because you often feel more motivated to exercise and eat healthy. You also get support from others hoping for weight loss at the same time as well.

You will want to familiarize yourself with all of your weight loss center options. This should include asking friends, family members, coworkers, neighbors, and your doctor for recommendations.

The internet and your local phone book are also good sources, especially if you are in a new area. Once you have the contact information for a number of local fitness centers, you can do a little bit better research. What you will want to do is examine all of the membership benefits, like access to healthy recipes, food journals and access to an on-site gym.

Be aware that some memberships will be long term contracts. Check if they have a shorter trial membership available. You may find you have bitten off more than you can chew and not be able to get any fees refunded.

When researching weight loss options, try not to limit your choices. By finding out what weight loss centers in your area can provide, you may be able to achieve more than one goal at a time. Lose weight, ease back pain and meet new friends with similar goals.

Lose the Fat! Tips to Successful Weight Loss

Weight loss can be a long and often frustrating process. One must muster enough self-motivation and inspiration long enough to see lasting results.

Unrealistic Image Something that seems so obvious yet we constantly forget is that everyones body is different! Not everyone is going to be a size 0 and 2, and thats okay! You have to figure out what your ideal and healthy body weight is and work towards that goal.

Fruit and Vegetables Your mom may have forced you to eat them and for good reason! Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables during meals and snacks will satisfy your hunger with more nutrition and less empty calories.

Everyday Exercise Since keeping in shape is such an integral part of maintaining your health, make physical activity a part of your daily routine, much like brushing your teeth. Exercise will help you burn calories, tone muscle, and lose the fat.

Mindless Munching Be aware of when and what you eat. Often, we grab for something to eat while watching TV, working, or other activities where our mind is not focused on eating. This only leads to the consumption empty, fattening caloriesand lots of them.

Emotional Eating When you are feeling lonely, bored, or anxious, avoid eating to deal with the stress. Food will not solve your problems; it will only augment those blasted calories and pounds you so desperately want to shed! Find other activities (such as going for a walk, e-mailing a friend, or painting) that will enable you to relax without food.

Portions Control Be mindful of your portions at each meal; refrigerate leftovers or take the rest of plate home if you eat out. Remember when you werent allowed to leave the table until your plate was cleared? Not so anymore. Portions have increased a ridiculous amount, so be careful! Eat slower rather than shoveling down food before your stomach can register it is full.

Weight Loss Pill People have this false idea that they can take a weight loss pill for a week and be done. Not so! Take something such as the Akavar weight loss pill in conjunction with healthy eating and your daily exercise. Then stick it out! No one will see lasting weight loss success over the course of mere days. Find the motivation to keep it up.

Speed Up Your Metabolism And Lose Weight

The metabolic rate is the amount of energy that is required for a particular body. Your metabolism could be fast or it could be very slow. While these are inherently genetic, there are things that you can do to increase your metabolic rate and therefore aid in weight loss.

1) Get Moving

It is best if you can do 30-60 minutes of moderate to high level intensity cardio workouts most days of the week. It is also helpful to add resistance training to your workouts 3 times per week. By lifting weights, you will be adding lean muscle, which will in turn speed up your resting metabolic rate.

There are other simple daily lifestyle changes that you can incorporate as well to increase your activity. You could walk or ride your bike to the post office rather than driving. Simple lifestyle changes can have a huge overall impact.

2) Small, Frequent Meals

It is better to eat 5-6 small, nutritionally proportioned meals per day than it is to eat 2-3 huge, unhealthy meals. By eating less, but more frequently, you are tricking your body into continually burning energy. This aids in raising your metabolic rate.

3) Eat More Protein

By consuming more lean protein, you are increasing the amount of fat that your body burns. It is best to consume lean proteins such as skinless chicken breasts or baked fish. Low fat dairy product are also a great source of protein. You should have a small amount of protein in each of your smaller meals.

4) How Many Calories Do You Need?

A very important step to increasing your metabolism and losing weight is figuring out your daily caloric requirements. To figure out this number, multiply your body weight by 11. If you are extremely active, you can multiply by 12. The resulting number is the number of calories that your body needs on a daily basis to survive and thrive. Do not try to consume fewer calories than your body needs, as this will put your body into starvation mode and only decrease your metabolism.

If you consume your recommended daily caloric intake combined with exercise for a period of 1-2 weeks, you will begin to see results in your battle towards weight loss.

Fast Ways To Lose Weight

It might not seem possible but there really are fast ways to lose weight - and keep it off.

There are all sorts of short term things you can do to quickly drop some pounds but they aren't feasible for the long term, of course. But the best way to lose weight quickly and for good is to eat small meals several times per day.

Now, by small I mean they shouldn't exceed a certain number of calories. Yes, you'll have to start learning how many calories are in foods. You won't lose weight otherwise.

First you have to figure out how many calories you need to maintain your ideal weight. If you are female take your ideal weight and multiply by 12. That is the number of calories you should eat per day. If you are male, take your ideal weight and multiply by 14.

It's best to eat those calories throughout the day in small meals. Sure, you could blow all your calories at once on a super sized Big Mac meal and eat calorie-free food for the rest of the day but that would defeat the purpose.

When you eat regularly, in small portions, your body doesn't store fat. It knows there's food right around the corner and doesn't store fat by thinking there's a famine.

When you start paying attention to the calories you'll find that you also start learning more about nutrition too because you want to get the most nutrition for your calories. The technical term for this is Calorie Restriction with Optimal Nutrition (CRON) and there is all kinds of research supporting the health benefits of this type of eating.

Don't worry: you'll quickly start memorizing the calories and soon it will become intuitive. You'll look at a dish and automatically know the proper size and roughly how many calories are in it. You won't have to walk around with a charge or calculator.

You will steadily lose weight until you reach your ideal weight. After you reach your ideal weight you will continue to eat the same amount of calorie in order to maintain that way. And as I know from experience, being in the position of maintaining your weight, instead of having to lose it, is a wonderful feeling.

Want to try a calorie restriction diet that's actually fun and easy to learn? Go to http://www.sixworddiet.com This little 60 page booklet has been flying off the shelves. Why? Because you get to eat whatever you want, 12 times per day.

Causes of Obesity & Weight Loss Management

There are multiple reasons for obesity such as by eating too many calories for our energy requirements must be a major cause for obesity epidemic. Increases in consumption of calorie-dense foods, as evidenced by the growth of fast-food chains and higher soft drink consumption, also point to a higher energy-intake. People who eat more calories need to burn more calories, otherwise their calorie surplus is stored as fat.

Over consumption the other cause for obesity, types of food eaten may also play a key role in the rise of obesity. Researchers discover that more metabolic and digestive disorders results from over consumption of trans-fats and refined white flour carbohydrates, combined with low fiber intake.

Psychological and Social Effects of Obesity goes worst that give you high level of stress, your emotion suffer because in Todays World everyone want to be good looking and the physical appearance is goes with slim and smart people and this make overweight people unattractive.

Other than physical appearance it opens the gate of dangerous disease, research shows that it increases the level of premature death, increase heart disease, diabetes, cancer, liver, breathing problems and unfortunately many others.

But the good thinks is that according to the research that if you lose a lit bit of fat that decrease the chance of heart stroke and improve your blood pressure.

Many peoples make mistakes by adopting the shortcut ways to reduce weight but it does just opposite and gives side effect, what you want to do is that set a small goal, make your commitment fulfill, motivate yourselves, get knowledge for the right medicine.

How To "Choose" Weight Loss

I want to give you one of the most powerful keys I have ever learned and studied over the past few years.

You can have anything, be anything, and do anything in life if you just make the choice to do so.

The power to choose whatever you want is something that the words written here cannot give justice to.

Your future has not happened yet. In fact, you create your future. The choices that you make today will shape your destiny later in life. The fact that you are reading this book tells me that there is something that you want to change in the future regarding your present fitness and weight loss situation.

You can make it a habit to chose what it is you want in life. In fact, weight loss is also a choice you make. Much like you chose your mate, your occupation, or your place of residence, you can chose to lose weight and stay thin.

Being overweight is not a life-long sentence you have been handed down with nothing you can do about it. You can choose to change your situation at any moment. If you are at a moment of complete frustration with your current weight, now is as good a time as any to make the choice to change.

Is it a choice you are willing to make? Are you unsure of the first step to take after you've made the choice to change?

Do not worry. We are going to go over those steps. I am going to start with a clean slate with you, so even if you know little about losing weight, you will be successful.

Please do not make weight loss and weight management any harder than it really has to be. Sure, the willpower required may be a test of character, but the actual process required to lose weight isn't physiologically difficult.

You have to expend, or burn off, more calories than you consume. It seems as though the more we become technologically advanced as a society, the more overweight we also become.

Also, with all of the confusing and conflicting opinions on the best weight loss methods that are available, people are misled and misinformed about what it truly takes to lose weight permanently.

It's as though many people have suffered "paralysis by analysis". There is so many different points of view that become overwhelming, it causes some people to throw their hands up and do nothing.

The way to make weight loss permanent is to replace your old unproductive habits that created an unhealthy lifestyle with newer habits that support losing weight. It starts with choosing to do so.

Exercise your power of choice. You can choose to have anything, be anything, and do anything if you are willing to chose it. It is a tool at your disposal whenever you need it.

In fact, the very best tool you can use for long lasting weight loss is the tool between your ears. Your brain is the best piece of equipment you can use to lose weight and keep it off. The more you feed your mind with powerful, results producing information, the better you'll be.

Study weight loss. Make it your mission. But do not lose the simplicity of it.

Weight loss is no harder than choosing to eat right every three or four hours (the most important process in weight loss and weight management), exercising with some weights/resistance two to three times a week, and doing some form of cardio/aerobics two to three times a week.

To lose weight and stay in great shape does not require any more than 2 to 3 hours a week total of exercise. I've trained many people that have managed to stay incredibly thin and in great shape with only 2 hours a week total of exercise.

It all comes down to the way you choose to eat and live. It is your choice of lifestyle that determines what you weigh.

The most important step you can take is to make the choice that you are going to commit to this and stick with it until you accomplish what it is you want.

There are going to be many days where you want to throw in the towel and call it quits. But choose not to.

Have faith that you will get what you want. It will require patience and persistence, but so do all good things in life.

I asked you to dream about how it would feel to have your ideal body. How it would feel to be as thin as you want to be and as energetic and as vibrant as you'd like to be. How would you feel to have the strength and flexibility you want and to rid your body of those nagging aches and pains.

Dare to dream a little and then choose to go after and make those dreams come true. Theres a huge difference between identifying what it is you want and choosing to go after it. Identifying what you want is the first step in the process.

You must then make the choice to go after it. In fact, I've just given you the key that will unlock any fitness goal you may have now or in the future.

The key to permanent weight loss and superb health is the fact that you choose it. Weight loss, muscle toning, or any fitness goal you may have is simply a choice that you make.

Anything you want in life, any goal or desire can be yours if you simply choose to go after it. Things just do not fall into place naturally and without effort. Yes, they do fall, just not where you want them to.

You must first "think" of what it is you want and then choose to go after it. And if you do not get what you want? Try it again. Keep trying until you get it.

If you are persistent enough and work hard enough, whatever you wish for will be yours.

Whether you want to lose fat or gain lean muscle and increase strength, you choose to do so.

In fact, life boils down to a series of choices. The better choices you make, the better your life will be.

You can choose to slim down and fit into those jeans or you can choose to give into your false feelings of hunger and deprivation.

You can choose to get behind the wheel after drinking or you can choose to hand the keys to a friend. Some of the choices you make have a long lasting and dramatic impact on your life forever.

The great thing is, if you choose to go after weight loss, you can be assured that it's within your reach because others have accomplished it. Any problems that you may face in life, chances are that someone has faced them and has already battled and conquered them.

Just follow what it is they did to come out on top. The question of whether or not it's possible is not an issue. It's whether or not you go after it. In fact, the choices you make dictate the life you will lead.

Where you are today is the result of all the choices you have made up to this point.

If you want better, you must make better choices. You can either move ahead or stay behind.

Remember, weight loss is a choice. It's a choice, much like we chose to go to school to further our education or a choice to take a new job.

We only do things after we make the conscious decision to do them and to put our heart into them.

You can want anything in life, but it's what you're willing to go after that matters. Look at your list of goals that you have identified.

Are you willing and determined to accomplish each and every one of those goals on the list?

It's that one small factor, the step between identifying your goal and choosing to go after it, that will determine whether you succeed at weight loss or not.

Simply having goals and choosing to accomplish them is what distinguishes successful people from those that merely wish.

It wasn't until I made the conscious choice to do a bodybuilding show that I began making plans about how I was going to win it.

It had started with a thought about what I wanted and how I was going to get it. But it wasn't until I made the absolute choice to do it that I took it seriously.

Choice is powerful. Choice can be the ignition switch that fires up your vehicle that will allow you to reach your goals.

Like I said at the top. You can choose to have anything, be anything, or do anything. The choice is yours.

Begin using your power of choice. Make it a habit to chose what it is you want in life and then resolve to get it. After you have thought about what you want, choose to go after it. So many people live lives of quiet desperation because they do not make the choice to act upon their dreams.

For whatever reason they are held back by fear and often times choose not to realize their dreams. Like I mentioned earlier, if you can dream it, you can achieve it.

Look over your list of goals you have written. I want you to make the choice, right now, whether or not you are going to go after your goals.

Choosing to go after your goals is like switching the "On" switch of a piece of machinery. Until you make the conscious choice to get what you want, you are still in limbo. By making the conscious choice to go forward, you start the process of taking steps to realize your goals.

Look over your list of weight loss goals. Are you going to make the choice to go full steam. Is something still holding you back? I can tell you from personal experience, until you make the choice to go after something, the likelihood of you realizing that goal is slim.

Best Exercise for Weight Loss

As much as we would like to think differently, you still cannot lose weight without increasing your physical activity. Exercising in some form will help to burn calories that would have otherwise been converted into fat and extra weight. This is why you need to devise an effective workout plan that will fit into your abilities and interests. Any exercise is better than no exercise. And the very best exercise for weight loss is consistency of the exercise you enjoy the best.

Most people don't really like to exercise. For them, it seems too much like work. And it is work, but it does not have to be tedious work. There are ways to exercise doing things that you love to do.

First, you need to choose an activity that you enjoy. Do you like riding your bike as the sun sets in the sky? Maybe swimming is more your idea of fun. Even a good round of golf can be a great form of exercise - but only if you leave the cart in the cart barn!

Once you find that activity, you need to pursue it at a minimum of three times a week for at least 30 minutes at a time. The more you exercise, the more calories you will burn and the more weight you will lose.

Start slowly then increase your level when you feel stronger until you are at a point where you think you are at a high level of intensity. It is okay to rest at intervals to recharge your batteries, but get back up to that level again until your workout is complete.

The ideal exercise plan is going to involve some form of aerobic exercise sustained for 30 minutes at a time. This could be in the form of an aerobic class or something as simple as taking a walk. This will get your heart pumping effectively so that your body can burn the calories that you have consumed!

When should you do this type of workout? Believe it or not, first thing in the morning is the best time to perform your cardio workout for best results.

We want to tell you that the important part about exercise is that you get out and do it! No matter when you exercise, you will burn fat and calories as long as it is a good workout. Remember that the best exercise for weight loss is the one that you enjoy the most because this is the one that you are most likely to stick to.

Considering Quick Weight Loss Programs?

Most people agree, sure, there's a time and place for moderate, slow-results diets, but if you're out of shape and have a deadline to look better, quick weight loss is what you're after. No matter how tight your deadline is, it never helps to panic. Quick weight loss is a goal you can achieve, and there are a few ways to get there. Remember, extreme results are never easy, but then again what goal was ever worth reaching that was easy? Where do you go? Not the bookstore. Most of those diets are more mainstream, "lifestyle fitness" kinds of books that aren't catered to the extreme reader who really wants quick weight loss as a result.

Okay, so at a very minimum, you need to keep track of ALL calories you're taking in. Set a daily quota, and don't go over it. I don't know what your limit should be of course; that will depend on your size, weight, and typical diet up until now. Your plan of action for quick weight loss will be tweaked more to your individual circumstances. Absolutely take into account your lifestyle. If you work in an office all day, sitting down, it should be lower. More active people might want to allow for a little more. Spread the calories out properly throughout the day as well. It makes much more sense to have three to five evenly sized meals than skipping breakfast, having a light lunch, then gorging yourself for dinner. That's a recipe for hunger pains and being bloated, rather than quick weight loss. Start reading food labels as well. I tell all of my clients to stay away from anything hydrogenated, even though the bad publicity is forcing most companies to cut back on trans fat anyway. Serving size can be misleading if you're looking for quick weight loss, because since the mid 1990's, the FDA standard (if you're in the US at least) has been based on a 3,000 calorie diet. The Calorie-Count website is great for keeping track of all of this. Keeping track of everything is one sure way to achieve your quick weight loss goal. I like how a bodybuilder friend of mine put it, "If you don't track it, you didn't do it."

Liquids are another important part of this quick weight loss goal. Nothing carbonated. These just contain a lot of sodium and force your body to retain water, derailing your efforts to be more active. More and more authorities on nutrition and general medicine recommend green tea and water. Full grown adults should take in two liters of liquids each day (about three-quarters of a gallon). If you're serious about your quick weight loss goal, you might want to stay as close to that amount as possible.

And no matter what kind of quick weight loss program you get into, you just can't take physical exercise out of the equation. While some people hope to, jumping from one silly "lemonade cleansing" diet to the next "low carb" craze, they can never figure out why they stay in bad shape. Try to stick to activities you enjoy, that way you'll at least have a shot of keeping up with them. Most people are surprised by how much they can actually work more physical activity into their regular days. You can skip the elevator, ride a bike to work, or walk if it's feasible. If you're in an office go out during the day whenever you can, even if it's just to walk around. So you can combine decent physical exertion with an effective diet, and you'll realize your quick weight loss goal faster than you probably thought possible.

But even with all of this in mind, most quick weight loss programs are more of a "'last ditch effort" kind of thing. You can lose muscle tissue as well if your body isn't properly nourished. Most people want to avoid the negative image of looking "sickly", or "weak" when they drop several pounds quickly. That's why adequate nutrition is essential. The best all-natural diet programs are the best place to start if you're looking for the right fuel to keep you going in your quick weight loss objectives.

Rob Jacobs has consulted on weight loss and nutrition for 20 years. He helps world class bodybuilders and dieters alike on how they can improve their health, and overall life. For more information on Rob's approach to health, please visit Quick Weight Loss

Need to Lose Weight? Try These Easy Diet Tips

- Forget what you know about eating three standard meals each day. When trying to lose weight, it is much more beneficial to eat smaller portions throughout the day instead of three large meals. Have a snack in the early afternoon and at night (if necessary) to curb hunger. This will be enough to curb hunger while still eating less than you normally would.

- Try eating slower; the faster you eat, the more food you will consume before you begin to digest it. Eating slower will allow you to feel full without overeating.

- Cut back on the sugar. Those sodas and energy drinks you have every day really add up. Try drinking a juice such as V8 or flavored water such as Propel. Or better yet, stock up on bottled water.

- Something that really works for me is brushing my teeth early. I hate eating while my teeth feel really clean, so if I brush, floss, and swish with Listerine (for a super clean feeling) long before bed, it will reduce my tendency to eat before bed.

- In conjunction with the previous tip, dont eat before going to bed. Labeled as a myth, this actually does contribute to weight loss. Try not to eat any less than two hours before bed.

- Keep calories in mind when you go shopping. I know it can be a pain, but learn how to read nutrition labels and spend a little extra time doing so. You will be surprised to learn just what you have been eating, and it may just help modify your eating habits for the better.

- Make sure you get your minimum of eight glasses of water a day. Drinking water when you start to feel hungry can help you feel full and keep hunger at bay.

- You may want to consider taking a weight loss supplement coupled with your diet and proper exercise. Do your homework before you decide on one; there are numerous different diet pills that are designed to function in different ways. Pick one that helps curb hunger. This will enable you to eat less and assist in your long term weight loss.

You Can Lose 15 Pounds Fast With These Two Changes

Fat loss isn't as simple as fad dieting experts would have you believe. It calls for you to make enormous changes in your life style, of which some are so complicated that they'd drive you nuts, whereas others are so simple and small that you will not even realize the change! The most significant thing to recall when trying to lose fat is that you must take in less calories than you burn in a 24 hour period. Unfortunately, this isn't easy for a big number of people since it becomes very hard to resist the impulse to eat. In this article I'll tell you 2 ways to cut down on calories and stay in shape. If you follow these diligently, you could lose 15 pounds fast.

1. Do yourself a favor. Replace large plates with smaller ones: You may not know it, but if you eat off small plates, you will be able to cut down on your food intake by a huge degree. There is a psychological aspect to it. Here is how: if you put a small amount of food on a large plate, you will think that you are indeed eating very little food. This thought would tempt you to eat more and more, which is not a very good thing. However, if you put the same amount of food on a smaller plate, your brain will think that you are eating a lot of food, because your eyes will see the plate as full! This way you will be able to trick your brain into thinking that you have eaten a large amount of food while in reality it is exactly the opposite. This is a very important step to remember. Even though some people underestimate the importance of this technique, this is really a very easy and pain-free way to cut down on food intake! Not to mention, you'll save a little cupoard space too!

2. Make an effort to only eat quality foods: When it comes to fat loss, it is not only the quantity of food you eat that matters, but also its quality. If you eat foods from fast food restaurants that are rich in calories, you will gain fat instead of losing it. These food items quickly add up, especially with the sides and large sugar filled sodas. It is the same case with processed and packaged foods; most of them are calorie-rich. Some processed foods are being marketed as low-fat and low-calorie products but don't ever believe them! Instead read the labels of these foods and educate yourself! Low fat or low calorie does not automatically mean that it is 'good for you.' You should also educate yourself about the calorie content of the ordinary foods such as vegetables and fruits. You can read about the calorie content of each type of food on the internet, as this information is mostly available online for free. These steps may seem tedious, but remember, once you educate yourself once you can reap the rewards for years to come. Make sure you do your due diligence before purchasing any food items, instead of going by the advertising and hype!

Small Changes Build to Weight Loss

Does this sound familiar....you promise yourself that the next morning you'll totally revamp your food choices, exercise daily, and be successful with your diet plan? Has it worked long-term? If not, maybe you tried to do too much too quickly. It can be overwhelming to make big changes and expect them to stick. Why not try something different? Make small changes to your food choices and exercise. Small changes build to big weight loss success.

In working with my clients, a successful strategy in losing weight and keeping it off is to make one small change at a time. Do you reach the top of a staircase by a giant leap? No, you rise to the top one step at a time. The same for weight loss is to make small changes and allow them to build success one after the other. Before you know it, those changes create a momentum of success that move you forward to your weight loss goals.

1. Eat slowly and calmly. Enjoy the tastes and textures. Put your fork or spoon down between every bite. Intersperse your eating with enjoying the company of others joining you for the meal. Your brain has a delay to your stomach by about 20 minutes when it comes to the feeling of fullness and satisfaction. If you eat slowly enough, your brain will catch up to tell you that you are no longer in need of food.

2. Eat only when you're hungry. Sounds easy but can be challenging to differentiate between your head hunger and hear your stomach truly growling. It is amazing how often we eat out of boredom, nervousness, habit, hobby, recreational sport, or frustration. Unfortunately for some of us that struggle with weight and food issues, we have actually forgotten what physical hunger and the cues feel like. Next time, wait until your stomach is growling before you reach for food. If you're craving a specific food, it's probably a craving, not hunger. It's probably your head that's hungry rather than your stomach. If you'd eat anything you could get your hands on, chances are you're truly physically hungry.

3. Out of sight, out of mind. The other day I found a surprise lurking in my refrigerator. It was a holiday treat from Thanksgiving that got pushed behind other items in the refrigerator. I'd forgotten all about this little treat put in the refrigerator because I didn't see it. Fast forward to how it looked today; it was petrified and looked awful. Seeing this Thanksgiving goodie that I'd kept that looked delicious in November to its current appearance was disgusting. It sure put the food choice into perspective. You aren't tempted if you don't see it. Even further, if you don't buy it or bring it home, you aren't tempted either. Keep your trigger foods out of your radar.

4. Empower yourself with the trash. Huh? My husband brought home leftover food from a work function he attended. It was not the best nutritional choice for anyone. Rather than keep it around, I threw it away. It felt so empowering to throw away the unhealthy food item. I chose the health of myself and my family over the temporary enjoyment of eating an undesirable food choice. You and your health are more important than any fleeting food fix

You don't have to undertake all of the changes in your lifestyle all at once. You've done that before. Did it result in long-lasting change? Probably not. Try something different. If you want different results, try it in a different way. Small changes build to big changes. Before you know it, you'll step on the scale and see your goal weight. Small changes can equal big success.

If you are looking to lose weight and trying to do so by using laxative teas, you are literally endangering yourself in more ways than you probably know.

Laxative teas are probably worse than your regular, over the counter laxatives. Why? Because they taste good and because the are often marketed as harmless and actually beneficial because of their herbal ingredients. Don't be fooled. Laxative teas are dangerous because they can be addicting. Laxative abuse can lead to long term problems and health risks that far out weigh their use. Even at a casual pace.

See, laxatives work in the large intestines, not the small intestine were the majority of calories are stored.

Because laxatives stimulate the large intestine, they produce side effects like runny diarrhea, softening of the bones and intense pain. Worse, if you abuse Laxative Tea for Weightloss, you may find yourself unable to have regular bowel movements and even more terrifying, you could end up wearing a colostomy bag.

Unfortunately, people are lead to think that these teas will help aid in their removal. But as we have already said, that's where laxatives fall short, they stimulate the large intestine only. The real monster, the real weight loss demon lies within the colon.

You have probably heard the saying, "life and death begin in the colon" well it's true.

People that can't lose weight, and have other chronic illnesses should look to their colon for answers. Parasites and plaque build up in the colon is really what is stopping you from loosing weight. Get rid of this FOR GOOD and the pounds will just melt away.

But don't think for a minute that just by doing a "cleanse" that your problem will go away. There are actually 3 factors to regaining colon health and therefore maintaining the perfect weight for your body.

First, you need to understand why diets don't work--actually we just answered that with the explanation of what lives inside most peoples colons. But here's the thing, how did they get there? What do they live on? And How do I keep them from coming back after I get them out?

These parasites and plaque deposits in your colon are actually what is forcing your body to protect itself with fat. That is why today more than ever, Americans a plagued with love handles, excessive fat under the arms, around the hips and thighs. These fat deposits are your bodies way of trying to protect your organs from these toxins.

Weight Loss Supplements Part 1, How Effective They Truly Are

People who suffer from overweight are always looking for new and innovative ways to lose some pounds, mostly because they have already tried working out, following different diets, etcetera; but nothing seems to truly work. Some people might follow a few diets and exercise regularly, but the results can always be improved, the amount of time it takes to lose weight can always be reduced. One great way that people believe in when trying to accomplish this goal, is by ingesting different weight loss supplements, and in the next few lines youll learn about their actual efficiency.

There is a wide variety of substances which are supposed to be very useful for people trying to lose some weight, these substances include: caffeine, green tea, ephedrine, linoleic acid, and others; whether they work or not is about to be revealed.

Let us begin with caffeine; for years people have believe that caffeine is probably one of the best weight loss supplements, and the reason why people believe this is because caffeine speeds up the metabolism of those that consume it regularly. It is a fact that people who consume caffeine will lose weight faster than those who never consume it. The only problem with weight loss supplements that are based on caffeine relies on the fact that most people are already used to ingest caffeine on a frequent basis, and will gain little benefits from increasing the amount of this weight loss supplement in their diet.

Now, about green tea; there are really few drinks out there that have more miraculous properties than green tea, its seems that green tea is the cure for every single problem possibly suffered by mankind, and now we are going to discuss its efficiency within the weight loss supplements family. First of all green tea will quicken your metabolism, it will also reduce the amount of cholesterol in your blood, it will get rid of the fat you already have and it will allow you not to absorb further fat in the future. So, overall we can say that green tea is, from every single weight loss supplement, the best; not only because it provides plenty of different weight losing characteristics, but also because it has no side effects.

Stay tuned for the next part of this article when well discuss other weight loss supplements and make an overall synthesis of what works and what doesnt work when trying to lose weight.

Weight Loss Program

Most weight loss programs include some insane long lasting exercises that burn your fat so that you can regain that fat later again. Others include insane weird diets where you must condition yourself to eat in a specific way, almost like a robot of this society.

Some of the programs include both of those, which in my opinion is a good idea, for as long as the program lasts, because once it finishes you gain that fat again. There are almost no programs that make you lose your fat and make it stay away. I said "almost" because there is at least one program that does all this.

Most of the programs focus on losing fat right at the moment, they almost forget that fat comes back again. They tend to focus ONLY on losing fat, forgetting how to prevent it from rebuilding. This sounds almost like you have to work forever to keep your fat away. Well, guess what, all you have to do is live your life almost like you always have.

All you have to change are a few little simple things that will change your life forever. If you live your life the exact way you always have you will get the same results you have always gotten. Would you better live with all the problems fat causes or take action and do something about it? Would you better change all your life to live like a robot and get some results or change a little your life and get much more results?

Think about it let me know.

How to Maintain Healthy Weight

There is nothing as frustrating as gaining weight after you worked so hard to lose it. It is a stab in the back, especially for those people who put so much time and effort to reach their goals but did not stick to a healthy lifestyle after attaining their desired weight. Once you have decided to take a big step and start living a healthy life, there is no turning back. Healthy habits should be part and parcel of your life.

Never skip your breakfast. Breakfast is the first meal of the day, and it gives you the energy you need to start the day. According to National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, people who do not skip their breakfast are less likely to snack during the day.

Eat slowly and chew your food thoroughly. "Slow but sure" should be your slogan. The faster you eat, the more likely you are to overeat. Your brain needs about twenty minutes to register that you have had enough, which is why you even need to take a break before going for seconds.

Be active. This is one of the best ways to help you maintain healthy weight. Choose exercises that you enjoy--for example, walking, jogging, cycling, and aerobics--and have fun. Avoid spending hours watching TV or playing computer games.

Pack your fridge with healthy foods. Vegetables and fruits are good low-fat snacks. In fact, about 2 cups of fruits and 2-3 cups of vegetables a day help you not only lose weight but also stay healthy (fruits and vegetables are loaded with vitamins and minerals).

Do not eat if you are not hungry. Find other ways of relieving your stress: you can meditate or do yoga, take a walk outside and have a breath of fresh air.

Fast Weight Loss

Everyone seems to have a miracle answer for fast weight loss. However, few seem to ever really work. Are you wondering what the real problem is?

Problem #1: An Overburdened Liver

Let's face it. Your liver is tired, and your inability to enable fast weight loss has been hampered. So, what can you do?

You need to give your detox center a break from its incessant cleansing duties, and let it rest and heal. The first step is to take in more raw and organic foods. The foods you eat today are processed, packaged and literally filled with harmful impurities that clog up your liver, your arteries, and your fat cells. And, your weight loss goals are suffering because of it. Fast weight loss is an art, and to master it you need to make smart lifestyle choices.

Problem #2: Stagnant Fat Cells

You've now learned how harmful poor choices can be on your digestive system, but what is that doing to your fat cells and your fast weight loss goals?

I'll tell you what it's doing. Its bloating your fat cells, ruining their inter-cellular communication, and killing your fast weight loss goals. You can cure this, but you have to start your full body detox regimen immediately. This means, dropping the fast food from your diet, buying organic, eating lots of fiber, drinking lots of water, body wrapping your skin and troubled fat areas, and exercising at least twice a week.

If you follow these steps, in two weeks you will have more energy, a healthier body, and most of all, you will have some FAST weight loss.

To all of you asking questions about where to get started on a detox regimen, this is my suggestion for supplementation and body wrapping: Lose Weight Fast

3 Weight Loss Motivation Tips You Have To Know About To Succeed

Maintaining your motivation to lose weight through a diet process is an extremely important thing. It'll make it easier to stick to the diet for a long time and will help you to make the most of it. However, diet motivation is a hard thing to maintain since a diet is a time when you do restrict yourself somewhat on what you can eat and the way you lead your life. So how can you do this? This article will provide some tips for just that.

3 Weight Loss Motivation Tips

1. Enlist the support of your loved ones - Your environment greatly affects your motivation to lose weight. For this you need to support of your friends and family. After all, it'll be pretty hard to stick to a diet if your family eats candy and fried food at the same table where you eat. Believe me, if you state your goals to your family, they'll be willing to help you. Even your children will be glad to pitch in. They'll serve as a force which will help you find motivation to lose weight and to maintain it.

2. Don't compare yourself to other people - There will always be someone who loses weight faster and easier than you. But what difference does it make? You should concentrate on yourself alone. If you succeed in losing weight, that's the main thing. Even if your weight loss rate is slower than some people's, as long as you're losing weight, you're doing great. Keep up your weight loss motivation. You deserve it.

3. Paint a picture of your future - You started this weight loss process for a certain goal: you want to look better, be healthier, and feel better. I want you to create a mental image of how your life will be like when you have attained those goals. This will serve as a beacon for you whenever you feel slightly down during the diet and will help you maintain your weight loss motivation. If you keep your goals in front of you, you will have something that's worth dieting for. As you approach your goal, it'll be even easier to stick to your diet and make it work better for you.

I hope these 3 weight loss motivational tips will help you to lose weight and keep it off forever.

Weight Loss Comparative Diets and Cardiovascular Risk Factor Reduction

Many dietary methods can lead to weight loss, however; a recent study found that a high carbohydrate low glycemic index diet may be the ideal diet for weight loss and reduction of cardiovascular risk factors.

There was a recent study that compared the relative effects of several diets on weight loss and cardiovascular risk. A total of 129 obese or overweight young adults were assigned 1 of 4 reduced fat, high fiber diets for 12 weeks.

The first two groups, diets group 1 and diet group 2 was on a high carbohydrate (55% of total calories), diet. Diet group 1 carbohydrates being high-glycemic and diet group 2 was the low-glycemic diet. The next two groups, were high in protein (25% of total calories), with diet group 3 containing high glycemic index for carbohydrates and diet group 4 containing low glycemic index for carbohydrates. The glycemic load was the highest in diet group 1 and the lowest in diet group 4. Changes in body composition and blood chemistries were studied. The average weight loss from each group was similar, but those individuals on diets 2 and 3 lost approximately 80% more fat mass than those on diet 1. The LDL cholesterol levels declined significantly in diet group 2, but increased in diet group 3.

Therefore, both high protein and low glycemic index diets increased body fat loss, but cardiovascular risk reduction is enhanced by a high carbohydrate, low glycemic index diet (diet 2).

The Glycemic Index measures how quickly a food is likely to increase your blood sugar. This may be helpful to know, particularly for the Diabetic person. If your blood sugar is low and continue to drop during exercise, for example, you would need to eat a carbohydrate that will increase your blood sugar quickly. On the other hand, if you want to keep your blood sugar from dropping during a few hours of mild exercise or activity, you would need to eat a carbohydrate with a lower glycemic index and longer action time.

Some low glycemic index foods (less than 55) are Artichoke, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers and eggplants.

Some foods that are considered to have an intermediate glycemic index (55-70) are Brown rice, canned fruit cocktail, linguine, Oatmeal cookies, popcorn, sweet corn and Muesli.

Some foods with a high glycemic index (above 70) include Golden Grahams, Bagel, Corn Chips, Watermelon, Honey, Kaiser roll and Mashed potatoes.

Weight Training for Weight Loss: Start Now

If youre already exercising and eating right with the aim of slimming down, heres something you might not have thought of that can help you achieve your goal: weight training.

Weight training refers to working out with weights, whether dumbbells and barbells (free weights) or the weights you find on exercise contraptions, that you lift by means of pulleys and cables.

If youre currently walking or running or doing other cardiovascular exercise to take off fat, you might think weights would not add anything to your efforts. After all, youre burning off calories either way, right?

Done correctly, though, weight training willbring a dimension to your workout that goes beyond calorie burn-off. It will sharpen and define your muscles, which will make you look and feel leaner even before youve reached your ideal weight target.

Not only will working out with weights make you look better in the eyes of others, it will help motivate you to keep working toward your goal.

Here are some tips for anyone considering weight training for weight loss:

1. Dont spend a lot of money on equipment, at least to begin with.

A basic set of dumbbells in a few different weights will get you started, and may be all you ever need. For the average person who hasnt had much strength training, I recommend purchasing two each of the following size dumbbells: 8 (or 10) pounds, 15 pounds, and 20 (or 25) poundsthat's six dumbbells in all.

Later on you can add a barbell with a set of adjustable weights if you like. However, I recommend getting an adjustable incline/decline bench to use with your dumbbells before spending for a barbell. A bench and dumbbells will equip you to perform nearly all the weight training exercises that you need if your main goal is weight loss (as opposed to trying to look like Mr. Universe).

Fancy workout machines are greatand expensive! If you have access to a gym then by all means take advantage ofsuch equipment. But don't think that you need it in order to get a good workout.

2. Buy or borrow a good illustrated instructional book on weight lifting. Look for one targeted toward average people--people who just want to get fit or get into shape--rather than toward competitive bodybuilders.

In line with tip #1, also make sure that the book you use contains exercises you can do with dumbbells alone, and that work all parts of your body.

If you wish to make maximum progress, I strongly recommend that you also read a book on the general subject of weight loss. Avoid the fad diet of the moment. Look for a book grounded in good science, that contains practical advice for nutritional and lifestyle changes that lead to permanent fat loss. (Some excellent books in this line are actually available as downloads from the Internet.)

3. Work out with your weights regularly. If all you have is 20 minutes every Monday, then make and keep that weekly appointment with yourself.

If you have more time, here's what I consider to be an ideal "weight training for weight loss" schedule. It will give excellent results with a time commitment that is still reasonable:

Monday: 10 minutes of cardio exercise + 20 to 30 minutes' weight training

Tuesday: 10 to 20 minutes of cardio

Wednesday: 10 minutes of cardio exercise + 20 to 30 minutes' weight training

Thursday: 10 to 20 minutes of cardio

Friday: 10 minutes of cardio exercise + 20 to 30 minutes' weight training

Saturday & Sunday: Nothing! Or, better, work in a couple of brisk walks around the neighborhood.

Important: Always put at least one day between your weight training days. Never work out with weights on consecutive days, even if you're tempted to do so. When you exercise with weights you are actually tearing down muscle so that it can rebuild itself stronger and bigger. Those in-between days are your muscles' crucial rebuilding days.

4. Use the right number of exercise sets for weight loss--not for bodybuilding.

Not one in a hundred exercisers understands this point. But now you will!

When you work out with weights, you convert a certain amount of fat to muscle. Muscle weighs something, too, though. If your goal is to lose weight, you don't want to end up with a pound of muscle for every pound of fat you started with. You would be more muscular for sure, but you would still be overweight!

The key is to do fewer sets of a given exercise than is called for in "regular" or non-weight-loss-oriented weight training.

The best instructional books give separate instructions for their workouts according to their reader's particular goal, whether that's to lose pounds, to build the biggest muscles possible, or something in between. If the book you're using does not offer this, you can make the adjustment yourself.

Keep in mind that a set contains a certain number of repititions or "reps" of an exercise. A typical weight training book may instruct you to do 4 sets of a particular exercise, each set consisting of 10 reps, for a total of 40 reps. In this case you (as a weight loss exerciser) would do no more than 2 sets of 10 reps each, for a total of 20 reps maximum.

By throttling back to about half of the prescribed number of sets, you can be assured that you will be both building muscle and losing weight. (Alternately, you may want to keep the number of sets unchanged but do just half the number of reps per set.)

To be safe you can limit yourself to one set per exercise per workout session, regardless of what your book instructs. Trust me: As long as you're getting in your cardio sessions, too (and eating right, of course), you will lose weight--and you'll gain some nice, "ripped" muscles in the process.
